Pushed into centralised government villages, the Khwe of Shaikarawe are watching their hunter-gatherer knowledge slip away. Henie Kayounde, one of the community leaders, takes a group of eight on a long journey to Khosha, an ancestral land in Botswana's far northwest, to see if they can live there again. Along the way they are joined by Kahoro, an elder born on that land, who says he has spoken with its animals. The land they find is under pressure from poachers. Kahoro tells them the animals will return if the land is cared for, but that he will not be there to see it.
KHOSHA will premiere on November 22 in London at LDNDOCS Festival.
